A cuatro meses de la decimoquinta edición del Wave Gotik Treffen, se ha publicado ya el nombre de 97 bandas que van a participar en este festival.El Wave Gotik Treffen es el festival más grande del mundo dedicado a la "Cultura Oscura" que se realiza cada primavera en Leipzig, Alemania.
Miles de fans del gótico, industrial, darkwave, ebm, darkfolk, coldwave de todo el mundo se reúnen para ver las actuaciones de cientos de bandas, decenas de proyecciones de películas y eventos literarios, fiestas que duran toda la noche y tantas cosas más para hacer que es imposible resumirlo.
En esta edición del Wave Gotik Treffen 2006 hay varios eventos muy importantes que tienen lugar en las mismas fechas del Treffen, y son El Mundial de Fútbol y el Festival Anual de Bach. Se espera que los hoteles estén excepcionalmente llenos, asi que si quieren estar en el festival empiecen a hacer sus reservas.
